It is all started by a calling
of going village after village to heal the sick.
Initiatives in Medical
Intervention Fellowship-IMIF is a local, faith-based organization created
by young Burundian physicians with a vision to build a wealthy community of happy
families and healthy people and as mission to serve the underserved, reach the
unreached and bring hope to the hopeless by spreading love with compassion.
In Burundi, IMIF Is registered
by the Ministry of interior affairs (OM 530/10 du 15 Juin 2020) and has an official partnership with the Ministry of Public Health and Fight against AIDS.
We are a missionary and
humanitarian organization. We adhere to the Humanitarian Principles in our
interventions.
We spread love with compassion
to every and each one we reach. We believe while serving one in-need, discrimination
doesn’t have place, as the samaritarian helped a Jewish (Luke 10:25-37)
IMIF serve every and each one
without any discrimination. Our approach are first individual based, family
based and then community based.
We have started our work with nothing just a heart to serve, determination, and faith. We
realized that what we need first is to be Faithful, Available, Teachable and Determinated.
We then start by collecting founds and materials locally, our parents and
friends took the first place to support us. Our experience taught us that
doing good does not need a big budget, but a little can be used for a big impact.
For sure, people in need seek for that smile, that
consolation word and that compassion. IMIF knew it and here is where our golden heart stays.
IMIF provides holistic assistance (Physical, psychological and social) to vulnerable, disadvantaged, marginalized people and those living in isolated/hard-to-reach areas.
We are unique, by grace,
Our work are centered to the needs of the individual , as-a-whole-person, the good of the family and the community impact.
